God’s Word provides us with five tips that will help us better manage His money.
1. Don’t be deceived by the Gibeonites as Joshua was. Pray for wisdom before committing. (Joshua 9)
2. Check out all the facts before making a decision. (Proverbs 18:17)
3. Count the total cost of the purchase you are contemplating. (Luke 14:28-30)
4. Seek godly counsel. (Proverbs 19:20)
5, Beware of purchases that must be finalized right now or the opportunity will disappear. (Proverbs 28:20)
Obeying God’s principles will enable us to be wise and not naïve. As we build these principles into our lives, we will become skilled and discerning. We will train our senses to discern good from evil, truth from lies. (Hebrews 5:11-14)
Instead of making foolish decisions, we can become like the man described in Psalm 1.. The choice is ours.
